Paul Scholes terus memberi jawapan..

Manchester - Keputusan Manchester United memanjangkan kontrak Paul Scholes, terus mendapat jawapan. The Ginger Prince menghadiahkan kemenangan penting bagi 'The Red Devils'.

Scholes membuka peluang M.U untuk kembali bersaing dengan Chelsea yang berada di tangga teratas. Satu gol daripada pemain bernombor 18 ke gawang Manchester City, membawa The Red Devils merapatkan kedudukan dengan pendahulu Liga dengan perbezaan satu mata.

Gol ini hadir kurang dari sehari setelah M.U menyambung kontrak pemain veteran tersebut.

Sepanjang musim ini Scholes hanya menyumbang tujuh gol untuk pasukan MU. Tetapi gol-gol tersebut adalah merupakan gol kemenangan "Golden Gol".

Antaranya pada perlawanan Liga Perdana 6 March lalu, jaringan Paul Scholes juga adalah penentu kemenangan 1-0 keatas Wolverhampton.

Satu gol lagi sumbangan Scholes adalah pada perlawanan pusingan ke-16, pertemuan pertama dengan AC Milan dalam kejohanan Liga Juara-Juara Eropah, pertengahan Februari lalu. Dimana gol Scholes ketika itu berjaya membuat kedudukan menjadi seri setelah tertinggal 0-1. Seterusnya memberi semangat yang positif kepada pasukan dan menang 3-2 keatas AC Milan.

Sumbangan Scholes yang lain dan menjadi penentu kemenangan M.U, adalah semasa menghadapi Besiktas pada peringkat kumpulan, Liga Juara-Juara Eropah September tahun lalu. Satu gol yang disumbangkan oleh pemain senior M.U ini memastikan "The Red Devils" membawa pulang 3mata penuh dari pasukan Turki itu.

Sir Alex Ferguson hailed his generals on the pitch at Eastlands after Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and especially Paul Scholes played a big part in a crucial derby win.

The manager said Scholes was the pick of his performers and not just for his decisive goal in the third minute of injury time.

"I think he was the man of the match to my mind. I thought he was absolutely fantastic. He’s such a skilful player, he was wonderful today," said Sir Alex.

Had Scholes not met Patrice Evra's left-wing cross with 15 seconds left, the Reds would have suffered the frustration of a second consecutive 0-0 draw - a result that would have made it "very, very difficult" for United to win the league, according to the boss.

"Obviously we’re now hoping Tottenham win. If they do, then the title’s back on," said the boss.

"Our win is a big boost to Tottenham because they can go fourth tonight, we think that’s where their incentive comes. After tonight we’ll know better [how the title race looks].

"I think we’ve deserved to win the game. I don’t think there’s any question about that. But I couldn’t see a goal coming to be honest. Towards the end, City made a bit of a charge themselves. The game got a bit open. It freed us, I decided to put Scholesy up and it’s paid off. [Never giving up] is a quality that’s part of our history, it’s a fantastic thing to have."

As for his veteran trio of Scholes, Giggs and Neville, Sir Alex added: "They've been in so many derby games over the years, they are vital to us now. Apart from their own contribution, their experience helps other players as well."

Manchester - Manchester United harus berterima kasih kepada Paul Scholes. Hasil gol pemain veteran itu pada minit ke - 92 (18 saat sebelum wisel penamat ditiupkan), 'The Red Devils' berjaya mengalahkan Manchester City dengan jaringan 1-0.

Bermain di City of Manchester Stadium, Sabtu (17/4/2010), kedua-dua pasukan menurunkan pemain terbaik mereka. Di mana M.U, menurunkan Wayne Rooney yang telah sembuh dari kecederaan buku lali, manakala Manchseter City pula menurunkan dua penyerang utama mereka iaitu Carlos Tevez dan Adebayor.

Oleh kerana kedua-dua pasukan turun dengan tujuan masing-masing, maka mereka bermain terlalu berhati-hati, menyebabkan persembahan menjadi hambar sehingga tamat separuh masa pertama. Bermain pada separuh masa kedua barulah kedua-dua pasukan melakukan serangan, tetapi kebanyakan percubaan mereka tidak berhasil.

Sehingga 90 minit permainan berlangsung kedudukan masih sama (0-0), keadaan seakan-akan berkesudahan seri, tetapi berbekalkan semangat juang yang kental gol kemenangan M.U hadir pada minit 92 melalui pemain Midfielder mereka Paul Scholes, walaupun permainan Scholes kurang menyerlah sepanjang perlawanan, tetapi kerana pengalaman yang ada padanya, maka Scholes bertukar menjadi wira kemenangan M.U dengan tandukan emasnya.

Dengan kemenangan ini, M.U masih berpeluang untuk mengejar Chelsea yang berada dipuncak Liga. Chelsea sekarang mengumpulkan 77 mata, manakala M.U mengutip 3mata penuh dari Man.City dan mengumpul 76 mata(point).

Introduction
What can I say about Paul Scholes which has not already been said? Well, here goes. "The Ginger Prince" is one of the most naturally and technically gifted footballers that England has ever produced. With his mind boggling movement, composure on the ball, pinpoint raking passes and his rocket shot it's clear that Scholsey is the ultimate attacking midfielder.

On the other side some critics label Paul Scholes as a bad tackler, but I personally think that he throws in the odd late tackle to let his opponents know he's there and to remind them that if they kick him, he'll kick them back even harder. It's a ploy that has served him well over the years and as a result he has been ever present in the engine room of the Manchester United team. Just take a moment and ask yourself how many bad tackels has little Scholsey been on the receiving end of?...The answer not very many. So his tackling is a great preservation tactic?

Manchester United Career
After the succesful F.A. Youth Cup winning campaign of 1992 Paul Scholes eventually made his Manchester United debut on 21 September 1994 in the 2-1 - 2nd round, first leg of League Cup - victory over Port Vale at Vale Park, scoring both of The Red Devils goals. He then went on to score in his very next game against Ipswich Town as United went down 3-2 at Portman Road, He eventually finished the 1994-95 season with an impressive 19 first team appearances to his name and 7 goals.

Unfortunately for Paul Scholes and his Manchester United team mates, after the banning of the influential Eric Cantona over his 'Kung-Fu' style attack on hooligan Mathew Simmons the team - by the norrowest of margins - lost out on the League and F.A. Cup double when they were pipped by Northern rivals Blackburn Rovers and Everton respectively.

The following season was the infamous "You can't win anything with kids" season where Paul Scholes along with fellow youngsters Gary Neville, David Beckham, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville. Proved the critics and doubters wrong - after the opening day 3-1 defeat against Aston Villa - by securing the League and F.A. Cup. Scholsey finised the season by scoring an incredible 14 goals in 18 starts.

Paul Scholes' fine form was now begenning to turn the head of the then England manager Glen Hoddle, who handed the player his debut in the 2-1 friendly victory over South Africa on the 24 May 1997 at Old Trafford, with the first of his 14 international goals coming eleven days later in his full England debut in the 2-0 victory over Italy. Scholsey eventually retired from the national team set-up after the failed Euro 2004 campaign to concentrate on spending more time with his young family.

During the 2007-08 season - after battling a career threatening eye injury - Scholsey's hard work at commitment to the United cause payed off when he fired his team-mates into the UEFA Champions League final with a superb 30 yard screamer which rocketed past Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes into the top corner. This goal was fitting to say the least as Paul Scholes along with warrior Roy Keane missed the 1999 final through suspension. United went on to defeat Chelsea in the 2008 Moscow final 6-5 on penalties after the sides finished the game with the scores level at 1-1.

Paul Scholes has thus far had such a distinguished career at Manchester United, picking up two Champions League (was given a medal even though he didn't play in the 1999 final), eight League titles, three F.A.Cups and one League Cup winning medals and chipping in with 138 goals in 560 appearances in the process.
